2022: Our Biggest GLOW With Your Hands Ever
GLOW With Your Hands welcomed a record number of students, exhibitors and hands-on career exploration experiences in 2022.
More than 1,000 students from the GLOW Region took on the role of professionals in advanced manufacturing, agri-business, construction, and skilled trades at the Genesee County Fairgrounds in Batavia.
From nail-driving competitions to backhoe driving and virtual welding, students put careers in their hands and in their minds, with lead sponsors Genesee Construction, LandPro Equipment, and National Grid and over 65 vendors giving students the spark for future success.
2021: A Safe Return for GLOW With Your Hands
GLOW With Your Hands returned in 2021 with more than 600 students engaging with vendors in a safe and productive environment.
As in 2019, the support rom the GLOW Region's businesses, volunteers, and workforce development, education and economic development leaders made the event an impactful moment for students considering their futures.
Demonstrations in advanced manufacturing, agri-business, construction, energy and skilled trades filled the Genesee County Fairgrounds in Batavia.
As the signature project for the day, students assisted Genesee Construction in installing a new accessible walkway to the fairground's Kennedy Building, a permanent reminder of the talent and promise that turns into action at GLOW With Your Hands.
2020: GLOW With Your Hands Goes On-Demand
With an in-person GLOW With Your Hands not feasible due to the COVID-19 pandemic, volunteers behind the project engaged with the GLOW Region's businesses to create an on-demand portal for students, teachers and families. GLOW With Your Hands Virtual remains an asset for career exploration!
2019: GLOW With Your Hands Launches
"This is the best day of my life"
GLOW With Your Hands launched in 2019 with more than 800 students engaging in hands-on experiences with the careers that are available and growing in the GLOW Region (Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming) of New York.
Support from the GLOW Region's businesses, volunteers, and workforce development, education and economic development leaders delivered a full day of excitement and inspiration.
Demonstrations in advanced manufacturing, agri-business, construction, energy and skilled trades filled the Genesee County Fairgrounds in Batavia.
GLOW With Your Hands thanks all the schools, students, businesses, vendors, volunteers and sponsors that made GLOW With Your Hands 2019 a success.
